Gaziantep software needs: an enterprise software partner for exporting manufacturers
Gaziantep is one of Türkiye's strongest export hubs. Textile and yarn mills, machine-made carpet producers, and grain, pulse and food processors ship to dozens of countries every day. Gaziantep software needs come from that pace: an export ERP that handles multiple currencies and price lists, integrations that talk to e-invoicing and customs processes, production planning that shows several plants on one screen, and B2B portals where dealers can follow their own orders.
This guide is written for exporting manufacturers, multi-plant industrial groups and growing family businesses in Gaziantep. Aksiyon Soft is headquartered in Samsun; we have no branch or office in Gaziantep. We run projects remotely and plan on-site visits for critical phases such as discovery and go-live. Below we summarize the industrial and export landscape of Gaziantep using official sources, then explain what to watch for on the software side.
In short
- Gaziantep exported about 10.14 billion US dollars in 2025, making it Türkiye's sixth-largest exporting province.
- Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, founded in 1969, has grown to 1,475 industrial parcels across five zones.
- Export invoices are issued as e-invoices and linked to the customs export declaration, which makes ERP and e-document integration critical.
- In multi-plant manufacturing, the biggest win comes from seeing inventory and capacity on one screen.
- Aksiyon Soft delivers Gaziantep projects remotely from Samsun and plans on-site visits when the project needs them.
How does Gaziantep's industrial and export profile shape software requirements?
According to the history page of Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone (GAOSB), the zone was founded in 1969 as one of Türkiye's first organized industrial zones. Today, with 1,475 industrial parcels across five zones and about 4,325 hectares, GAOSB describes itself as the largest OIZ in Türkiye. A sixth zone established in 2023 adds roughly 10.96 million square meters, while the second zone is home mainly to textile, food, chemical and plastics companies.
Data from the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters' Associations (GAİB) shows Gaziantep exported about 10.14 billion dollars in 2025, ranking sixth among Türkiye's provinces. Textiles and raw materials, grains and pulses, oilseeds, carpets, chemicals, and wood and forest products lead the province's exports. Carpet exports through GAİB reached about 1.96 billion dollars in 2025. Across the wider GAİB region, exports reached 200 countries, with Middle Eastern countries taking a 40 percent share; Iraq, the United States, Syria, the United Kingdom and Germany are among the top markets.
What does this mean for software? A typical Gaziantep exporter works with several currencies, documents in different languages, different national regulations and frequently changing prices, all at the same time. Production is often spread across more than one plant, and in carpets and textiles the color, size and pattern variants multiply the complexity of inventory and order tracking. Food is no different: Gaziantep joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for gastronomy in 2015 as the first Turkish city in the network, so batch traceability and brand trust matter a great deal for local food producers.
The table below summarizes the sectors we see most often in Gaziantep, their typical operational problems and the software approaches that tend to work.
| Sector | Typical operational problem | Software approach that fits |
|---|---|---|
| Textiles and yarn | Batches, machine capacity and order due dates tracked separately | Production planning, batch and lot tracking, capacity dashboard |
| Machine-made carpets | Inventory and order confusion across color, size and pattern variants | Variant-based product management, B2B dealer portal, warehouse management |
| Grains, pulses and food | Raw material purchasing, batch traceability and export documents scattered across tools | Lot tracking, quality records, export module |
| Chemicals and plastics | Managing formulas, raw material costs and safety documents | Formula and cost management, document archive |
| Multi-plant industrial groups | Inter-plant stock transfers and consolidated reporting done by hand | Central ERP, inter-plant transfers, consolidated management dashboard |
What should an export ERP cover?
For an exporting manufacturer, ERP is more than accounting and inventory. Every step from order to shipment needs to be backed by the documents and data that exporting requires.
Multiple currencies, price lists and Incoterms
Customer- or country-specific price lists, multiple currencies, exchange rate differences and delivery terms (Incoterms) should all be defined in the system. When sales prepares a quote, they should see current cost and margin on the same screen.
Proforma, packing list and shipping documents
Once an order is entered, the proforma invoice, packing list, export invoice and shipping documents should all be generated from the same record. Typing the same information into four separate documents wastes time and creates a risk of inconsistencies at customs.
Container and loading plans
Which order goes into which container, in what pallet layout, and when loading was completed should all be recorded. That information also drives the shipment notifications sent to customers.
How do export e-invoices and customs integration work?
Under General Communiqué No. 509 on the Tax Procedure Law issued by the Revenue Administration (GİB), taxpayers registered for e-invoicing have been required since 1 July 2017 to issue invoices for goods exports as e-invoices, in line with the e-Invoice Customs Procedures Guide. In the market this is often called the "e-export invoice".
In summary, the flow described in the guide works like this: the invoice is issued under the IHRACAT (export) scenario, linked to the customs export declaration (GÇB), and the Ministry of Trade returns an acceptance or rejection response. A single e-invoice cannot be used for more than one export declaration. That is why keeping invoice, declaration and response statuses on the same order record in the ERP significantly reduces back-and-forth with customs brokers.
For the latest UBL-TR changes on the e-invoice side, see our article on the GİB UBL-TR update and e-invoice integration. When e-archive, e-waybill and e-ledger flows are managed from the same integration layer, adapting to regulatory changes becomes much faster.
How can inventory and planning across several plants be brought onto one screen?
In Gaziantep, a group's yarn, weaving and apparel plants may sit in different OIZ zones. When each plant works from its own spreadsheet, phone calls become the only way to find out where an order is waiting. Multi-plant production management combines central product and bill-of-materials definitions, plant-level capacity planning, inter-plant stock transfers and consolidated reporting in a single system.
Barcoded warehouse movements and mobile stock count screens are the fastest way to improve inventory accuracy. When planners can see real stock and machine load, the delivery dates promised by sales also become more realistic.
What do B2B dealer and customer portals deliver?
For a manufacturer working with domestic dealers and overseas distributors, a B2B portal takes much of the routine load off the sales team. Dealers see their own price list, current stock, open orders, shipment status and account balance in the portal, and they enter new orders directly.
For high-variant products like carpets, it matters that the portal can filter by color, size and pattern, work from a visual catalog and show an estimated production date for variants that are out of stock. The portal needs to sync with the ERP in real time or at short intervals; otherwise the stock shown to dealers will drift away from actual stock.
Middleware and system integration: typical scenarios in Gaziantep
An exporting manufacturer has constant data flows between its ERP, e-document provider, warehouse system, B2B portal, cargo and logistics companies, and banks. Managing those flows through point-to-point connections multiplies complexity with every new system. A middleware layer brings all of these connections into one place; it queues failed messages, retries them and keeps an audit trail. For architectural detail, see our article on enterprise integration and middleware architecture. These are the scenarios we come across most often in Gaziantep:
- ERP, e-invoice and customs: the export invoice is created from the ERP under the IHRACAT scenario, and the export declaration match and the acceptance or rejection response are written back to the order record.
- ERP and B2B dealer portal: at a carpet producer, stock, price lists and account balances are pushed to the portal, and dealer orders land directly in the ERP.
- Inter-plant transfers: a batch sent from the yarn plant to the weaving plant is updated in the stock of both the sending and receiving plants at the same time.
- Production machines and planning: output counts from weaving and tufting machines feed the planning dashboard and efficiency reports.
- Logistics and cargo: container and cargo tracking data is sent to customers as automatic shipment notifications.
For these scenarios you can rely on our API and integration service, and for end-to-end process management, our integrated enterprise operations and process management platform.
Digital maturity: where should Gaziantep companies start?
In July 2026, İpekyolu Development Agency announced a Textile Sector Digital Maturity Analysis Program together with the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry and Gaziantep University, using the digital transformation model developed by TÜBİTAK-TÜSSİDE; machine-made carpets are among the eligible sectors. An analysis like this offers a good framework for an objective view of where you stand before investing in software.
In our experience, the first step that creates the most value is usually fixing a single break in the order-to-production-to-shipment chain. Our guides for the neighboring provinces of Adıyaman and Diyarbakır, as well as our articles on Malatya, Sivas, Kayseri and Yozgat, describe a similar approach.
Checklist: before you start a software project in Gaziantep
- List which program, spreadsheet or form is used at every step from order to shipment.
- Map your export documents (proforma, packing list, invoice, origin and quality certificates) and who prepares each one.
- Confirm your e-invoice provider, your export invoice scenarios and how data is exchanged with your customs broker.
- Document inter-plant transfers and stock counting methods.
- Collect the questions your dealers and distributors ask most often, and scope the B2B portal around them.
- Review your product variant structure (color, size, pattern, quality) and your coding standard.
- Appoint one decision-maker for the project and one key user from each plant.
How can Aksiyon Soft help?
Aksiyon Soft is a software company headquartered in Samsun that delivers enterprise projects remotely across Türkiye. Our engagement model with a Gaziantep company has four steps:
- Discovery: we map processes, plants, existing systems and integration points together, with a planned site visit if needed.
- MVP: we get the piece that creates the most value, such as the export document flow or the B2B portal, running quickly.
- Sprint demos: we work in two-week cycles and demo working software at the end of each sprint.
- Hypercare and SLA: after go-live we provide an intensive support period, followed by maintenance and support under a written service level agreement.
For broader ERP and process projects, see our enterprise software solutions page. The most common mistake we see at exporters is leaving integration until the end of the project; we bring e-document and customs flows into the design from the first sprints.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office in Gaziantep?
No. Aksiyon Soft is headquartered in Samsun and has no branch or office in Gaziantep. We run projects remotely and plan on-site visits for critical phases.
How long do Gaziantep software projects take?
It depends on scope. An MVP covering a single process can often go live within a few months, while multi-plant ERP and integration projects are delivered in phases over a longer timeline. We share a concrete schedule after discovery.
Can we build a B2B portal while keeping our current ERP?
Yes. In most cases a dealer portal can be built without replacing the ERP, using a middleware layer that connects to the interfaces or database your ERP already offers.
Can you integrate export invoicing with our existing e-invoice provider?
Yes. We work through your current provider's API and connect export invoices, export declaration matching and response statuses to your ERP.
Do all plants have to switch at the same time to run on one system?
No. We usually start with a pilot plant and bring the other plants into the system in phases once processes have settled.
How is support handled after go-live?
After go-live we run an intensive hypercare period. From then on we provide remote maintenance and support under an SLA with defined response times.
