Ordu software partner: enterprise software for the hazelnut supply chain

For a hazelnut trader, cracking plant or exporter in Ordu, the software problem usually comes down to one thing: the weighbridge ticket, yield analysis, warehouse record, e-Müstahsil producer receipt and export invoice for the same product all live in separate systems. Finding the right Ordu software partner is therefore less about buying a new package and more about tying those records to a single lot number. When the season peaks within a few weeks, spreadsheets and paper slips create both errors and audit exposure.

This guide is written for hazelnut buyers, licensed warehouse users and cracking plants, manufacturers in Ordu’s organised industrial zones (OSBs) and tourism businesses. Aksiyon Soft is headquartered in neighbouring Samsun; we have no branch or office in Ordu. We deliver remotely and schedule on-site visits around the project plan for critical steps such as discovery, acceptance and go-live. Being a short drive along the coastal highway makes same-day, face-to-face sessions easy when they are genuinely needed.

In short

  • Based on the 2026 crop estimate, Ordu is Türkiye’s largest hazelnut-producing province, so lot and quality traceability must sit at the core of any system.
  • If producer purchasing, the e-Müstahsil receipt and the ERP do not share one data flow, end-of-season reconciliation drags on for weeks.
  • The planned 20,000-tonne hazelnut licensed warehouse will create new integration needs between warehouse software and company ERPs.
  • The right architecture connects weighbridge, lab, warehouse, the Revenue Administration (GİB) and export documents through a middleware layer.
  • Aksiyon Soft works with Ordu companies remotely from Samsun; there is no local branch, and site visits are planned in advance.

How does Ordu’s economy shape its software needs?

According to the crop assessment coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Türkiye’s estimated in-shell hazelnut crop for 2026 is 704,195 tonnes, of which Ordu accounts for 195,361 tonnes. The same data shows Ordu also has the largest hazelnut area of any province, at 227,216 hectares. At that scale, purchases from thousands of small growers have to be recorded one by one.

On the industrial side, OSBÜK records list the Fatsa, Ordu (central) and Ünye OSBs as operational, with the second Ordu OSB at the planning stage. Fatsa OSB describes itself as a production and export base on the Black Sea coastal highway. Beyond hazelnuts, plywood, textile and food manufacturers of different sizes are also looking for ERP, production tracking and e-document integration.

For regional planning, Ordu falls under the Trabzon-based Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA). Companies applying to its support programmes need project documentation, measurable outputs and reporting, all of which map directly onto software.

From grower to export: how does the hazelnut chain go digital?

Producer purchasing and e-Müstahsil

At the buying point, weighbridge weight, moisture and kernel yield, price and deductions should be calculated on one screen. According to GİB’s e-document site, taxpayers who must use e-invoicing and who issue producer receipts as part of their business are required to move to the e-Müstahsil Receipt application. Retyping receipts into the ERP means double entry and tax risk; in a well-designed flow, the purchase record generates the receipt automatically.

Lot, quality and yield tracking

Each purchase should receive a lot number, with sample results, storage location, cracking and sizing steps linked to it. When an export batch has an issue, you can then find the purchases it came from in minutes. The mistake we see most often in projects is lab results kept in a separate sheet that never gets matched to lots.

Licensed warehousing and electronic warehouse receipts

ORLİDAŞ, a subsidiary of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, is planning a Hazelnut Trade Centre and Licensed Warehouse in Ordu’s second OSB with 20,000 tonnes of capacity, nitrogen-atmosphere silos and fully automated monitoring. The municipality’s project page lists licensed warehousing software, a barcode system, sampling equipment and electronic weighbridges. Traders and processors who will trade through electronic warehouse receipts (ELÜS) will need warehouse records to reconcile with their own ERP.

Export documentation

An export batch links a proforma, the e-invoice (export or exempt), packing list, analysis certificate and freight documents to the same lot tree. Generating these templates from ERP data cuts inconsistencies in correspondence with customs brokers and buyers.

Middleware and system integration

A typical Ordu hazelnut company runs at least five systems: weighbridge software, lab records, accounting or ERP, a GİB connection via a private integrator, and the bank. Wiring them point to point multiplies the number of integrations with every new system. A middleware layer binds each system to one message contract: a weighbridge ticket opens a lot, a lab result triggers pricing, and an approved purchase becomes an e-Müstahsil request.

Concrete Ordu scenarios include: taking weighbridge readings with an idempotency key so duplicates never land; queuing and retrying receipt requests when GİB responds slowly; comparing licensed-warehouse delivery records with ERP stock in a nightly reconciliation; and pushing tourism bookings from the channel manager straight into accounting. For the architecture, see our article on enterprise integration middleware architecture; for e-document format changes, read the GİB UBL-TR update and e-invoice integration guide.

If silo and warehouse records are not reconciled with ERP stock every day, gaps build up between receipts and physical inventory.

What changes for tourism and service businesses?

Ordu is not only about hazelnuts. Boztepe, overlooking the city, is assessed in academic research as having very high recreational potential, and Cape Jason (Yason Burnu) in Perşembe is a well-known stop on the coastal route. Hotels, restaurants and tour operators often keep bookings, bookkeeping and customer messaging in separate apps.

Like the hazelnut harvest, the tourism season is short and intense. Once the channel manager, PMS and accounting are integrated, rates and occupancy are visible on one screen and the end-of-season report no longer has to be compiled by hand.

How does a remote enterprise software partnership work?

On Ordu software projects, our model rests on a written scope, regular demos and a transparent backlog. Discovery starts over video and works through process maps, a system inventory and real documents such as weighbridge tickets, analysis reports and producer receipts. When we need to see the actual workflow at a buying point, we book a planned site visit before the season.

Our Samsun office is close to Ordu along the coastal highway, which keeps such visits practical, but day-to-day collaboration stays remote with a shared backlog and weekly status notes. To compare other Black Sea provinces, see our Samsun enterprise software partner and Trabzon enterprise software partner guides; for hazelnut processing and port logistics, read the Giresun software partner article; for agri-food and cold chain, see Tokat enterprise software and Amasya enterprise software partner.

How long does a hazelnut-focused software project take?

The exact duration depends on scope, so we do not quote figures before discovery. In hazelnut businesses, though, the timeline is driven less by the software and more by the harvest season. Nobody wants to switch systems during the busy buying period that starts with the harvest; go-live belongs in the quieter months before the season or right after it.

A phased roadmap is usually the lowest-risk path. Phase one brings the purchase screen, lot creation and the e-Müstahsil connection. Phase two adds lab results, warehouse movements and cracking operations. Phase three completes export documents, management reporting and, where needed, licensed-warehouse reconciliation. Each phase delivers value on its own and is refined with user feedback before the next begins.

The most common delays are external systems (private integrator, bank, warehouse software) being slow to provide test environments, attempts to migrate years of uncleaned data, and scope added mid-season. Writing these risks into the discovery document keeps the production manager in Ordu and the software team working from the same expectations.

Checklist: before starting a software project in Ordu

  • Have you listed your buying points, weighbridge and lab devices?
  • Is it documented where a lot number is created and which documents it must travel to?
  • Is API access confirmed with the private integrator you use for e-Müstahsil and e-invoicing?
  • If you plan to use licensed warehousing or electronic receipts, are reconciliation rules defined?
  • Have you measured how many users work concurrently at the season peak and what load the system must handle?
  • Is go-live scheduled for the quiet period before the harvest?

How can Aksiyon Soft help?

Through our enterprise software solutions we bring purchasing, lot and warehouse processes into one operations panel. With our API and integration service we build the middleware for weighbridge, lab, ERP, GİB and bank connections; you can review our reference approach on the API and data integration platform page.

The delivery model is clear: discovery and a scope document, a prioritised MVP (for example purchasing and e-Müstahsil only), working-software demos every two-week sprint, a hypercare period after go-live, then maintenance under an SLA. The team is based in Samsun, works remotely with clients in Ordu and across Türkiye, and makes planned site visits when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Ordu?

No. Our headquarters is in Samsun and we have no branch or reseller in Ordu. We deliver remotely and plan site visits for steps such as discovery and go-live.

How long does an e-Müstahsil integration for hazelnut purchasing take?

It depends on your accounting or ERP setup and your private integrator’s API. After discovery we share scope and assumptions in writing and build the plan around the harvest season.

Do we have to replace our weighbridge software?

Usually not. If it can export data or exposes an interface, it connects through the middleware; replacement only comes up when a device or program provides no data at all.

How do you match licensed warehouse records with the ERP?

Delivery and release records are pulled from the report or service the warehouse operator provides and compared with ERP stock by lot and quantity. Differences land on a reconciliation screen for approval.

Do you also work with tourism businesses?

Yes. We can build a custom panel for bookings, bookkeeping and guest messaging, or integrate your existing PMS with a channel manager.

Who owns the source code and data?

That is set in the contract; in enterprise projects the aim is to hand over source code and keep data in the environment the client chooses. KVKK (Turkish data protection) obligations are covered during discovery.
